April: The Stormy Seaside Month
“Long stormy spring-time, wet contentious April, winter chilling the lap of very May; but at length the season of summer does come”.
April is usually a pretty wet month in this beautiful city of ours, and thus far it is keeping its promise. Worry not though, Kathleen has ample activities planned to take our minds from this “wet contentious April”.
Of course it is Easter Sunday and April Fools on the same day this year. This will not happen again until 2029. Not to worry, there will be no pranks played at Norgarden Estates! On Sunday the traditional Easter Breakfast will take place at the Norgarden, followed by Easter Dinner at both Norgarden and The Peninsula on Monday April 2nd.
There were some very creative pranks in the news this year, including this one – which made it all the way to CNN before someone shouted “April Fools”
On April 10th there will be entertainment by Michael Majocha at The Peninsula at 7pm.
On the 13th, the Gentleman’s Club will head to Beacon Landing,
while on the 27th the J.O.Y. Ladies Group will head to Bistro Suisse. Please make sure you sign up for the outings at the front desk.
On the 23rd Laura Stewart from Physio Care at Home will be at both buildings (2pm at The Peninsula and 3pm at Norgarden) for a Q and A session.
Please see the Calendars below for all the activities Kathleen has in store for you this month.
